We thought we would take a moment to spotlight all that is Molly Payton.
Our new favourite music and fashion icon was raised in New Zealand and now we’ve lucky enough to have her reside on London turf.
She is the epitome of 90’s indie rock that has returned in all its glory for a time bomb awakening on the 2020 music scene. Her powerful tracks are beyond incredible, she is lyrically wise beyond her years but still keeps the sense of youthful discovery and recklessness that adulthood can bring in her sound.
So let’s get down to the music itself, today Molly has released Porcupine, her new 6-track EP which includes previous singles ‘Warm Body’ and ‘How To Have Fun.’
Porcupine emerges as a bold statement of the 19-year-old’s artistic intent. Alongside the EP, Molly shares the video for new single ‘Going Heavy’, a distillation of the recurring themes of youth and freedom which appear across the EP.
If this is a product of 2020, then we can only imagine what other genius work is to come. Watch her music vids and tell all your friends.
P.S. from a style perspective we love her mix of power suits and casual ensembles.
