We have been taken on a sublime journey of jazzy beats by Daniela Andrade thanks to her stunning new single ‘Tamale.’
The Honduran-Canadian artist said this one was inspired by when she was younger, “me and my sisters would help my mom make tamales to sell to friends for some extra money to send back to our relatives in Honduras.”
You can see her vision unfold in the music video, “I ran with the idea of a heightened reality where our tamales are in high demand, making money off them is a breeze and we have enough to take care of our own. Heightened or not, the energy my mom and my sisters put into making them was always with a sense of empowerment, and that’s stayed with me.”
Well in our opinion tamales are delicious and so is Honduras, go if you haven’t been before! We just had a perfect form of escapism and our minds returned back to Central America.
