If walls could talk, then the most hedonistic tales would come from the best boutique hotel in the world, that is the non other than the epic Pikes in Ibiza.
That’s why it comes as no surprise that Pikes has an epic podcast series full of 1970’s nostalgia and the music, fashion and film elite!
Co-owned by co-founders of the Ibiza Rocks brand, Dawn Hindle and Andy Mckay, Pikes was originally created in the late 1970’s by the late Tony Pike. It was almost studio 54’s on sea, with guests such as Grace Jones, Tony Curtis, Spandau Ballet, George Michael (who filmed ‘Club Tropicana’ in the pool) and Freddie Mercury who held his 41st birthday party at Pikes.
Rich in history and culture, Pikes really is the only place that we want to go for a bit of rock n roll and glamour on holiday.
That’s why we are listening to the Pikes Ibiza Podcast, a 10 week series giving you a behind the scenes glimpse into the magical world of Pikes, capturing the moments of debauchery hidden away in the Ibizan hills.
The latest is with Irvine Welsh, best known as author of ‘Trainspotting’ – who is one of the most iconic British writers of our time. In this exclusive interview recorded at the Pikes Literary Festival in September 2019, he joins Pikes Creative Director Dawn Hindle and journalist Rebecca Tay to discuss hedonistic tales from the past and some exciting plans for the future.
All Pikes podcasts are available to download exclusively on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
