MARNI
Sunday morning’s first show, the day before the final day of this Milan fashion week, with Marni’s collection and its very personal language. Consuelo Castiglioni works with the clothes like a painter combining vibrant colours and sculpting the clothes on the body. She plays with dress layering, leather plastrons, embroidered sequins and macramé polka dots. The dresses drape, knot, open at the back, they’re both fluid and structured with straight edge cuts. So much ease with the ultra-big trousers, brushing the floor matching the slip dresses. The designer plays on lengths, and primary colours (blue, yellow, red). Some black monochrome fabrics are rigorously just pinched on the body. Geometric and floral prints impose themselves in big sizes on outfits which reminds us that Marini excels in this field.
Dsquared2
A new energy for Dsquared2 with a skin-tight fashion. Everything turns around the body with sharp cut silhouettes and technical materials. An amazing mix between couture and sport sums up Dsquared2’s wardrobe for next summer. The strappy neoprene dresses in printed tie dye close revealing a fluorescent zip. A thin jumpsuit in jersey looks as if the skin is totally covered in tattoos, which sets the tone for many silhouettes, including ultra-sexy bandage dresses. Wet hair and high heeled, elongated legs, the models take to the stage with sex appeal, letting their long dress float behind them in bright colours.
Bottega Veneta
A collection harmonious with nature, Tomas Maier focusses on what he knows best; working on beautiful fabrics. Inlays of precious leathers and exotic skins decorate the wardrobe, inspired by the open air, hiking and yachting.
Emporio Armani
The first silhouette- baggy trousers, supple jacket and pink t-shirt with a printed smiley face- sets the tone for this new Emporio Armani collection. Giorgio Armani brings youth and freshness to his second line, favouring shortness for summer 2016. Light dresses and skirts, shorts and playsuits will be a good choice of course accompanied by many jacket proposals, in which the ultra-short bomber looks very attractive.
Prada
Miuccia Prada always knows how to surprise us and takes us to new levels every season. At first sight, this new woman looks a little frightening with her gold mouth and her XXL earrings and may seem rather austere with her straight tailored skirts, buttoned up to the neck. The designer likes proposing these pieces in various fabrics, juxtaposing textures, rounding off jackets, playing with asymmetry for skirts and adding embellishments and sparkles. She makes everything fluid, even translucent with dresses that seem to detach from the body, twinkling glitter on striking stripes, without forgetting these embroidered flowers on some models.
Etro
Flowers, prints, ruffles, a succession of light dresses at Etro, the summer is going full swing! The designer, inspired by multiple inspirations, mixes them wonderfully and marks this season in the aestheticism of dance with references to ballet pumps, the small plastrons worn over the outfits, the clothes which drape around the body.
