On his return from recent European live excursions, Ghostpoet – (real name Obaro Ejimiwe), has landed back home and announced a new single, the wonderfully titled ‘Sorry My Love, It’s You Not Me’ for release on 31st July.
A reflective narrative sees Ghostpoet weave tales of a one-night stand, articulating the awkwardness, hand in hand with wanting something more meaningful perhaps a feeling from a previous relationship.
Cohabiting with cinematic instrumentation and featuring guest vocalist, singer/songwriter Lucy Rose, ‘Sorry My Love…’ walks the same emotive, self-questioning axis that permeates his recent album, ‘Shedding Skin’ to great effect. We love how his deep thoughts roll off the tongue and really question the feelings of a night of passion with someone you don’t really know…
