We were stopped in our speaker tracks this week when we heard this tune from Alessia Cara.
She’s only 18, but still manages to acknowledge the notion that the cool scene most 18 year olds want to be a part of isn’t all that rad. The debut track really is an ode to the ‘anti-social pessimist’ those who accept that attending a party might not be that fulfilling. She is self effacing and honest and will most likely gain industry respect through her mature lyrics and stunning vocals.
