We were first introduced to Billie after she was featured on Burberry acoustic. Their unique music marketing tool allows the brand to tap into a gateway for early adopters of music. 2014 was the year Billie (only age 15) established her name in the music space.
She is expected to release her new single Heavy Weather on May 25th, her first release since signing to Chess Club Records. The release follows the success of her 2014 debut Ribbon, which saw Billie receive plays across Radio 1 (Huw Stephens, Zane Lowe, Fearne Cotton), 6 Music, BBC Radio 2, XFM and Amazing Radio.
Recorded in one take, Heavy Weather showcases a voice so perfectly pure it sounds almost otherworldly, with Billie’s intricate, soulful acoustic guitar providing a haunting backdrop. The single will be backed by Billie’s stripped-back re-working of Royal Blood’s Out Of The Black, also recorded in one take.
