We all need some guidance in making that summer to winter wardrobe transition. There seemed to be a trend for desert photo-shoots in the run up to festival season and now winter has been incorporated into this theme.
Everyone has previously latched onto the Mojave Desert style campaigns shot in California with colloquially-defined high desert regions complete with models adorned in fringed boots and bohemian dresses.
This season Mara Hoffman has reinvented this trend and injected new life into the palm springs terrain. Hoffman’s muse is a mystical mermaid-like female who takes to the sand at night. The starlight skies enhance the magical winter collection. The campaign was shot by Olivia Malone who has captured the likes of Pharrell Williams, Iggy Azalea and Miley Cyrus. She also was the photographer on video’s for hits such as ‘We Can’t Stop’ and ‘Blurred Lines.’
