Last year at Liverpool Soundcity music festival, we were blown away by elusive artist Brolin who we stumbled across at the Kazimier venue. His tracks ‘Reykjavik’ and ‘NYC’ were prominent fixtures on our Soundcloud playlists and finally he has returned with a new single, ‘Swim Deep.’
Following on from his Flags Mixtape, which appeared at the start of 2014, Brolin releases a brand new track, Swim Deep. The track is the first to emerge from sessions with producer Raffertie, as the two finish work on Brolin’s debut album, expected early 2015.
Swim Deep is a composition of depth and yearning, eliciting the beauty of the last days of summer, and the heady intensity of freedom, love, and promise. Joyous, shimmering electronic production is accompanied by a beatific vocal performance. Swim Deep also marks the forthcoming album as wholly anticipation-worthy.
The release of Swim Deep on October 27th will be accompanied by two remixes – from Bristol bass artist Asa. and London house collective Panda. The same week, Brolin will play his first headline London show for 18 months, at the Servant Jazz Quarters in Dalston. Tickets have just been released and are on sale now.
