There are a few things that may have helped to transform our four days at Wilderness, from magical to mind-blowing.
Whether it be dining under canvas in the banqueting hall, bathing under the stars in the Lakeside Spa, learning a new skill or running through the forest, all made our stay that little bit more enriching and the experiences were unforgettable.
We welcomed some of the world’s finest players to Wilderness this year. There was Shakespeare galore, multi-sensory experience and immersive one-off spectacles. We followed troupes through the woods, lingered at a lakeside reading and took our place under canvas and watched other worlds unfold.
The Wild Wellbeing team who curated The Sanctuary were busy putting on a fantastic workshop program. After the success of last year they were inundated with people wanting to share their knowledge with us at the festival. With the help of their friends at the highly regarded YogaCampus and other experts, they put together an inspiring program from a whole host of specialists in the field of heath, wellbeing and natural medicine.
The workshop space was another Hooe’s Yurt, especially decorated and designed to create a comfortable and intimate setting for groups of up to forty. With scatter cushions and carpet to sit on, we kicked back and spent some time listening to inspiring people and learning something new. Late night revelry after dark and whimsical fancy dress added to the broad spectrum of arts.
