Our Artist of the week goes to Devan Dubois because we know he’s going to go far. We need some Nashville sounds and DuBois delivers it perfrectly. ‘Long Live’ personifies DuBois’ southern demeanour; smoky undertones set the pace for a track which hones the dichotomy of being at once full of grit, and of elegance.
The video, directed by Chuck David Willis, explores the connections between life and surrealism, and foolishness and wisdom – a concept very much imagined by DuBois and giving insight into his enigmatic character.
The debut album from Devan DuBois entitled ‘Le Fou’ will arrive in late Summer via Sensibility Music. This rocker will no doubt be a household name by 2015.
