We’re showing Aussie appreciation today and introducing a girl who we first heard on Flight Facilities track, ‘I didn’t believe.’ Elizabeth Rose produces and writes electronic pop songs that are at once bright and moody, layering catchy melodies against shimmering synths and pulsing beats.
Her debut EP, Crystallise, arrived last year, establishing her as one of the most exciting new voices in Australian electronic music, and her new self-titled EP delivers on this promise and then some, with richer harmonies, more intricate melodies and a deeper set of sounds and influences. You could compare the sound of these new songs with the colourful pop of Little Dragon or the electronic spookiness of The Knife, but Rose has a sound and style all her own.
