A B O U T T H E D E S I G N E R S
Simone Rainer – He moved to Milan at the age of 18, abandoning a mathematical degree for fashion, where he discovered a love for textiles. His favourite material is leather, due to it’s vivid features and capacity to change throughout time and conserve the marks of it’s transformation.
In 2011, Simone Rainer launched his first range of bags, purses and a pedants, with a wish to combine two seemingly different worlds: one the tradition and craftsmanship of the Italian leather, and the other, the universe of geometry. Simone is creates unique textiles as well as concepts, for which he has been marked an innovator.
Fabio Quaranta – Originally studied economics: selling vintage clothes and managing a very exclusive boutique in Rome to fund his education, which led to a love for fashion. He was the first to import designers like Comme de Garcon and Dries Van Norton into Italy, introducing the new breed of Avant Garde designers making waves in international fashion.
An artisan approach with a feeling of freedom away from fashion cycles and trends. He respects age-old techniques favouring the traditional craftsman and processes – he sources fabric from a mill centuries old in its techniques – and says this is down to his study of ethics rather than fashion.
Arthur Arbesser – Arthur Arbesser was born and raised in Vienna and studied Fashion at Central Saint Martin’s College in London. After graduating he moved to Milan to work for one of Italy’s most renowned fashion houses for over 7 years. In 2012 he turned his dream into reality and decided to embark on his own.
In February this year Arthur debuted his womenswear collection during Milan’s fashion week. In July the Spring/Summer 2014 collection was presented in Rome as part of Vogue Italia and Altaroma’s competition ‘Who is on Next’ and was awarded first prize.
