We have nearly come to the end of another fashionable year. One of our top catwalk moments was Balmain’s SS13 collection which was rich in embellished textiles. Pierre Balmain is the cheaper brand diffusion line to come from the luxury designer. Their Spring Summer video films model Anna Selezvena flirting with the camera, we are left to imagine who the mysterious male shadow belongs to. The designs are most likely to be inspired by the French Riviera as well influences from iconic French actress Jeanne Moreau as seen in Jacque Demy’s classic 1963 film “La Baie des Anges.” The scenes are played out against an intense shifting soundtrack. It also reminds us of French Movie, “The Swimming Pool.”
