We became very emotional after our muse Cara Delevingne was crowned Model of the year at the British Fashion awards. We can’t begin to link you to the amount of articles we’ve written about her intriguing character. It is Cara who has worked around the clock this year. Most weeks saw Delevingne in endless magazine campaigns not forgetting appearances at international runway events. The majority of us were left to question if she’d been cloned after walking down EVERY catwalk.
It was the 2010 Burberry trench coat advertisement that catapulted the 19 year into modelling oblivion. By 2012 she’d accomplished all possibilities of fronting high street , high end and print media publications. As you can tell, a stagnant career was never on the cards. Cara’s profession climaxed after becoming a Victoria’s Secret angel last month, it was only right that the British Fashion Council recognised her achievements. For us it’s Delevingne’s personality that causes us to rate her so highly. She may pose for a stunning shot but behind the scenes footage reveals her unique and endearing sense of humour. Her goofy faces are just as popular amongst her teen following as her blue steel shots. A unique attitude contests the ignorant opinion of what a model’s lifestyle consists of. Trust me this kid is far too fun and grounded to seek dangerous substances or unhealthy weight regimes.
Watch her in her latest campaign for DSQUARED SS13. You will appreciate the real Cara at the end. The film uses Drew Barrymore’s voice recording from horror movie Scream.
Fashion Soundtrack: Stefano Riva -Scream Miami (Great track to showcase the collection and suit the terrifying theme)
