British based Indian designer, Saloni Lodha has released a short film to show off her gorgeous prints and vibrant fabrics. The video was directed by Ellen von Unwerth who was inspired by Jackie Kennedy’s 1962 visit to the Indian state of Rajasthan. We modernly relate to the demure Kate Middleton or Michelle Obama beginning a visit with formal greetings, taking time to observe other cultures. However, Lodha’s Jackie, presents a fun first lady who takes part in dancing, charming snakes, wearing face paint and smoking opium. Jackie Kennedy was a first lady who had style and presence. She still inspires the fashion industry today with her two piece dress sense. Saloni Lodha also appears in the film drinking tea.
