Rumour had it that British singer Adele was the voice behind the new James Bond “Skyfall” soundtrack. The whispers are correct and today the track leaked online. Skyfall is the 23rd James bond film which is premiering on the 23rd October 2012, equipped with new songs and love interests. The James Bond music archive have introduced us to the likes of; Shirley Bassey, Madonna, Nancy Sinatra, Duran Duran, Tina Turner, Chris Cornell, Paul Mccartney, Carly Simon, Alicia Keys, Jack White and Sheena Easton. In recent years we have enjoyed Daniel Craig’s 007 agent profile, yet the role once belonged to Pierce Brosnan and Sean Connery. Adele’s track is similar to both her hummingbird style and the original bold Bond songs. The Bond soundtracks are usually full of descending baselines that evoke victory, mystery and sombre emotion. This track is similar to Shirley Bassey’s “Diamonds are forever.” We have compiled a playlist of memorable Bond theme classics. Adele’s Skyfall track is set for release on Friday the 5th of October.
